Kartell launches at the NGA

Kartell collaborates with some of the world's best designers to develop its collection of furniture and design accessories that continually push the boundaries of plastic. From the universally recognised Compinibili modular container designed by Anna Castelli Ferrieri in the 1960s, to the Ghost chair collection by Philippe Starck that involved the development of transparent plastic, Kartell is grounded in experimentation and their work with both designers and artists is central to their creative process.

As well as designing furniture, in 2003 Kartell launched the now collectable book, Kartell, that was edited by Vogue Italia's Carla Sozzani and features key pieces from the collection seen through the lens's of some of the world's best photographers. While in 2009 they created the Invisibles exhibition with Japanese artist/designer Tokujin Yoshioka made from thousands of transparent plastic canes at the Milan Furniture Fair.

Stay tuned for your chance to win tickets to the gallery's Renaissance exhibition that features some of the most recognised Italian Renaissance masters from the 15th and 16th centuries, including paintings by Raphael, Botticelli, Bellini and Mantegna that have never left Europe before.
