The Coppelia Ballerina' traces, with sinuous movements, a delicate after-image in the air, which inspires the fluid motion in the design of Miyake's Coppelia Suspended Lamp. The graceful dance, staged by the three-dimensionally crossed wire structure, leads the spectator to dozens of glowing LED lights, which define the contour and the magical glow of Miyake's new interpretation of a classic chandelier.

Arihiro Miyake
Arihiro Miyake was born in Japan in 1975, initially studying industrial design at Kobe Design University in Japan, he then moved to Finland to complete his Masters in furniture and spatial design at Aalto University. Initially working in interior design, Miyake established his own studio, Studio Arihiro Miyake, in 2004. Covering multiple fields including interiors, products, lighting and research, the studio has worked with a number of high-end clients. Miyake's unique approach to design has led to his products being produced by internationally renowned company Moooi, and being included in the permanent collection at the Design Museum Helsinki.
