TAILOR-MADE - A FESTIVAL OF ITALIAN DESIGN

The festival was a 5 day celebration of design which focused on the tailor-made approach to Italian living – from furniture, objects and lighting, to car design, architecture and food. The event featured local designers, architects and industry experts, and the celebrated Italian architect Piero Lissoni.

Throughout the week guests joined Space for a series lunchtime design talks, weekend kids’ design workshops where budding young designers learnt from Piero Lissoni himself, plus a Maserati design exhibition.

The festival also included a talk with
Piero Lissoni at the Tusculum. Here in Australia for the first time, Lissoni  presented his multi-award winning work including architecture, design, art direction and graphics completed for some of the world’s most exciting brands including Kartell, Living Divani and Porro. His multi-disciplinary studio in Milan’s historic Brera district is legendary and has produced some of the best designers working today including Patricia Urqiola.
