During the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games The Kihinkan – Takanawa Manor House by Casa Italia is home to the Italian athletes in Japan. Celebrating a traditional 19th century European villa in Tokyo, the interior features opulent red velvet Rose and Getsuen Chairs by Japanese designer Masanori Umeda that were first designed for Edra more than 30 years ago. Other highlights of the collection include tables by Patricia Urquiola for Glas Italia, and pieces by Fernando and Humberto Campana, and Francesco Binfaré for Edra, the Tuscan furniture house that has collaborated with Casa Italia at both the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and Korea.
"We recognise in sport the strong values that have animated our company for over 30 years. Passion first of all, but also the daily discipline in doing our work and the ability to dare. For this reason Edra and its collection is witness to the excellence that comes from the desire to go further and further in a healthy global competition."
Monica Mazzei, Vice-president Edra
