Mingling amongst the warm glow of sunset, the soft hues and textures of design pieces from Milan, and the relaxed sounds of DJ Cassette, leading architects and designers gathered in Sydney on Thursday night the 26th June to launch the world's first standalone B&B Italia Outdoor showroom in Surry Hills.

A former industrial rag trade district and now creative precinct, its streets and laneways home to architecture studios, hatted restaurants and galleries, the city’s smallest cinema and design-led boutique hotels, guests explored the collection and enjoyed food by Plated by Savva Savas. The menu was influenced by the site’s former Longrain restaurant and finished with a special Italian Sgroppino dessert served by waiters dressed in custom-made B&B Italia Outdoor resort wear.

The night was a milestone for the Space brand who celebrated their 30 year partnership with B&B Italia, a global leader in contemporary furniture, and a full circle moment that sees Space Furniture’s design presence return to Surry Hills after 20 years.
