Alfredo Haberli

Alfredo Häberli was born in Buenos Aires in 1964 and moved to Zurich in 1977, where he lives. He graduated in industrial design from the Zurich School of Design in 1991 with the Diploma Prize, and has since worked for companies including Alias, Camper, Kvadrat, Luceplan, Moroso and Zanotta, combining tradition and innovation across furniture, lighting, glassware and architecture.

For Iittala he designed Essence, glassware built on the idea of as few glasses as possible for a full range of wines, with stem and base of equal size, including the champagne and highball glasses and the pitcher.
