Bjarke Ingels

Bjarke Ingels is a Danish architect and the founder of BIG, Bjarke Ingels Group, a Copenhagen, New York and London practice of architects, designers, urbanists, landscape and product designers, researchers and inventors. BIG’s work grows out of a careful analysis of how contemporary life constantly evolves, mixing conventional ingredients to find the fertile overlap between the pragmatic and the utopian.

For Architectmade, BIG designed Panda, a wooden figure inspired by the panda house the practice created for Copenhagen Zoo, laid out like the yin and yang symbol. Its upper body rotates and its arms and legs move.
