Ezri Tarazi

Born in Israel in 1962, Ezri Tarazi graduated in industrial design from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem in 1990, chaired its industrial design department from 1996 to 2004 and founded its master’s programme. He co-founded the Israeli branch of IDEO, runs Tarazi Studio, and has shown work at MoMA and the Cooper Hewitt in New York.

His Baghdad Table for Edra is inspired by the layout of the Iraqi capital, its top made of hundreds of different extruded aluminium pieces, hand welded into a single, completely perforated surface.
