John Pawson

John Pawson was born in Halifax, Yorkshire, in 1949. After years in Japan, where he spent formative time in the Tokyo studio of Shiro Kuramata, he studied at the Architectural Association in London and set up his own practice in 1981. His work addresses the fundamentals of space, proportion, light and materials, themes he explored in his book Minimum.

For Viccarbe he designed the Foro table in solid oak and the Trestle family, a modular collaborative bench with indoor and outdoor tables.
