Joost van Bleiswijk

Joost van Bleiswijk, born in 1976, grew up in Delft and studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven, where he met his partner Kiki van Eijk. A prolific Dutch designer who values the process of making, he brings icons such as grandfather clocks and cupboards into a contemporary setting, from his No Glue No Screw collection to the Mechanic and Protopunk series, and has designed for the Rijksmuseum.

For Moooi he designed the Tinkering suspension lamps in black coated stainless steel and brass, and for Moooi Carpets the Sketched Collage rug, a pattern of irregular geometric shapes.
