Raimond Puts

Born in the Netherlands in 1937, Raimond Puts spent much of his life working on machines and tools before turning to design. Completely self-taught, with a natural talent for constructing complex forms, he only officially began his design career at 65, and his Raimond lamp for Moooi was one of the highlights of the Milan furniture fair in 2008.

Inspired by Buckminster Fuller’s geodesic dome, the Raimond II is a sphere punctuated by tiny LEDs that spread warm white light in every direction, like the glow of a starry night.
