Tord Boontje

Tord Boontje is known for the romanticism he brings to contemporary design: some of his pieces are whimsical and lighthearted, yet connect with strong emotions. Originally from the Netherlands, he studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven and the Royal College of Art in London, founded Studio Tord Boontje in 1996, and has work in the collections of the V&A and MoMA.

Sun-Light of Love, his first design for Foscarini, is a suspension lamp of geometric yet fluid, organic character that decorates without ostentation.
