Wolfgang Tolk

Wolfgang Tolk studied at the Braunschweig School of Art and in 1981 moved to the Düsseldorf Academy of Fine Arts to study under Gerhard Hoehme. With Ingo Maurer he designed the Minimum halogen lamp, shown in several European museums, and since 1990, alongside his work as an artist, he has made clear, minimalist linear objects, mostly in stainless steel and wood.

His work with Porro began in 1999 with Load-it, one of the brand’s most requested pieces: a versatile shelving system of thin L-shaped steel shelves on wall panels.
