Baxter
Bongo Ottoman
The Bongo ottoman designed by Paola Navone, with its ethnic and minimalist design, becomes the elegant centrepiece of the living space. The ottoman’s iconic shape – reminiscent of the sculptural forms of African drums – is an ironic invitation to sit and enjoy social moments. The formal aspect is carefully designed down to the smallest detail by the exquisite workmanship of the raw-edge leather stitching, which outlines sinuous and enveloping shapes and gives the seat a unique and original appearance.

Baxter
Launched in Italy on January 1990, Baxter is the combination of experience and passion, a sense for business, a desire not to follow the rules, and the spirit and feeling evoked by the Made in Italy philosophy. Describing Baxter as “the story of encounters, ideas, but above all of people”, founders Luigi Bestetti and his nephew Paolo Bestetti began their journey towards the contemporary by pursuing "the freest expressiveness”.
Paola Navone
Paola Navone was born in Turin in 1950 and graduated in architecture from the city’s Politecnico in 1973. She worked alongside Alessandro Mendini, Ettore Sottsass and Andrea Branzi in the Alchimia group, won the Osaka International Design Award in 1983 and was named Designer of the Year by Architektur & Wohnen in 2000.
She runs OTTO, her Milan design studio, and has completed projects for hotels and restaurants across South East Asia. For Baxter she has designed the Chester Moon, Budapest, Chicago and Miami Beach sofas and the Nepal and Bruxelles armchairs.
