Baxter
Stig Chair
Stig is a leather-covered chair whose design, by Roberto Lazzeroni, is inspired by the ironic furniture designed by Jean Royère. The chair’s distinguishing element is the base that becomes a sculpture and makes this small work of cabinet-making unique and immediately recognisable. It is a solid, thick sled made of wenge ash which, when raised, supports the seat and backrest. The two leather-covered cushions rest lightly on the structure and invite you to experience the unusual comfort of this statuesque piece.

Baxter
Launched in Italy on January 1990, Baxter is the combination of experience and passion, a sense for business, a desire not to follow the rules, and the spirit and feeling evoked by the Made in Italy philosophy. Describing Baxter as “the story of encounters, ideas, but above all of people”, founders Luigi Bestetti and his nephew Paolo Bestetti began their journey towards the contemporary by pursuing "the freest expressiveness”.
Roberto Lazzeroni
Roberto Lazzeroni was born in Pisa in 1950, the town where he still lives and works. He studied art and architecture in Florence, graduating in Fine Art in 1974, and developed a keen interest in conceptual art and Radical Design. He calls his own approach “sentimental design” and began his career in 1980 with residential projects.
His long collaboration with Ceccotti Collezioni began in 1988, followed by work for Poltrona Frau, Flexform, Giorgetti, Driade and Zanotta. For Baxter he has designed the Isamu table, the Himba and Colette seating, the Stig chairs and the Karl sofa.
