Foscarini
Founded in 1981 on the Venetian Island of Murano, Foscarini produces lighting that, whether on, or off, transforms a space with beauty. Key to the collection is their collaboration with international designers. From Patricia Urquiola to Rodolfo Dordoni, a freedom of ideas shapes their distinctive and diverse collection of lights and an open approach to production. This allows Foscarini to explore materials and innovation that over the past 35 years has defined the brand’s manufacturing mastery, along with its long list of design icons. The constant for Foscarini is rigour and passion for every project. The group’s creativity hub now includes the German lighting brand Ingo Maurer, further strengthening the brand’s ability to express a multifaceted and distinctive vision.
Jozeph Forakis
He set up his own studio in 2002 with an office in Milan and one in New York. His work is renowned for the innovative use of materials and production techniques, as well as his interest in the influence of digital technologies on products and on everyday objects.
The son of artists, he reflects his background tied to the world of art and the theatre in his cultural approach. His products have received multiple acknowledgements, including the inclusion of Havana, one of Foscarini’s most popular products, in the permanent design collection at the MoMA in New York.
