BBPR

BBPR was the Milan studio founded in 1932 by the architects Gian Luigi Banfi, Lodovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso, Enrico Peressutti and Ernesto Nathan Rogers. It became one of the leading voices of the modern movement in Italy, from the 1946 reconstruction plan for Milan to the Torre Velasca.

At the 1951 Milan Triennale the studio staged the exhibition “The shape of usefulness”, and its design work ranged from the Spazio office furniture for Olivetti to the Elettra armchair of 1954, still made by Arflex with the Giulietta and Neptunia seats.
