Claudio Avetta

Claudio Avetta is the designer of Billa, a chair family for Billiani, the company founded in 1911 in Manzano, in the heart of what became the Italian chair district. Billa combines archetypal, familiar forms with a contemporary style, reinterpreted through fresh lines so that it stays versatile and timeless.

The wooden Billa has a full-length back that seems to embrace the seat, an ergonomically cut seat and a solid beech frame. In 2023 Avetta reinterpreted it in metal, with or without armrests, in a version inspired by classic vintage outdoor chairs.
