Fabrizio Ballardini

Fabrizio Ballardini qualified as an architect in 1977 and turned to industrial design in 1980, working with furniture makers including Roche Bobois, Bernini, Sirrah and Bontempi. He calls the versatility of his work “chameleon”, and his book Camaleo collects his best-known projects.

Among them is the Ribalta sofa for Arflex, named in the Top Ten at the 1993 Cologne furniture fair, along with the Papilia lamp for Sirrah and the San Siro inflatable armchair for Progetti. For Arflex he has also designed the Leenus sofa.
