Lapo Binazzi

Lapo Binazzi was born in Florence in 1943 and in 1967 co-founded UFO, one of the Radical supergroups alongside Archizoom and Superstudio. A member of Global Tools, he showed at the Milan Triennale, the Venice Biennale and documenta 8, and designed lamps such as MGM, now held by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

For Poltronova he signed Autostrada, a wool rug drawn as a roadway of curves and straight lines, first made as a single copy for Il Dolce Stil Novo (della casa), the Florence exhibition curated by Andrea Branzi, and reissued in 2023.
