Marcel Wanders

Marcel Wanders was born in 1963, grew up in Boxtel and graduated from the School of the Arts Arnhem in 1988. His Knotted Chair for Droog Design made his name in 1996, and in 2001 he co-founded Moooi, of which he is owner and creative director. He has designed for Bisazza, Flos, Cappellini, Poliform and Moroso, and his work is held by MoMA and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.

For B&B Italia he designed the Gold Collection: a vase, a stool and a bowl, oversize ceramic objects covered in gold leaf, icons of luxury with a sense of humour.
