Mauro Lipparini

Mauro Lipparini graduated in architecture from the University of Florence in 1980 and later lectured there. Known for a style described as natural minimalism, he won the Young & Design award in Milan in 1987 and the International Du Pont Award in Cologne in 1988 and 1989.

His industrial design spans home and office furniture and textiles for European and Japanese companies, alongside headquarters, showrooms, shops and restaurants. His style pairs spare forms with bold colours and organic textures. For Arflex he designed the Rendez-Vous sofa.
