Michael Geldmacher

Michael Geldmacher was born in Germany in 1968. With Eva Paster, whom he met as a student, he founded Neuland Industriedesign, creating the Random bookcase for MDF Italia, selected for the Compasso d’Oro, and the Elephant chair for Kristalia. Since 2015 he has worked independently from his studio in Munich.

His clients include B-Line, Bulthaup, Interlübke and Nils Holger Moormann, and for B-Line he designed the stackable Toro chair in 2017. For Billiani he designed Layer in 2018, an armchair that seems to have existed forever despite being new, later joined by lounge and bar stool versions.
