Paolo Deganello

Paolo Deganello was born in Este, near Padua, in 1940, graduated in architecture in Florence in 1966 and that year co-founded Archizoom Associati. His designs include the AEO armchair of 1973 and the Torso chair of 1982 for Cassina, the Documenta Chair of 1987, now in the Vitra Design Museum, and the Re and Regina chairs for Zanotta. From 1991 he taught at the ISIA in Florence.

For Poltronova he gave Archizoom’s wave-shaped sofa a new, untamed skin with Superonda Spots, one of the six limited editions that marked its fiftieth anniversary in 2017.
