Tom Kelley

Tom Kelley was born in East Germany, moved to the West in the 1970s and studied in Aachen and Munich. Initially a painter and designer, he set up his studio in Munich and has lived in Venice since the end of the 1990s, close to his Italian clients.

Most of his work focuses on chairs, following a “less is more” approach, and he is a former creative director of TON, for which he designed the Punton chair. For Billiani he designed Button Down in 2016, chairs and bar stools as simple and classic as the iconic button-down shirt.
