The Space Furniture and Poliform Milan Design Week Guide to the Salone del Mobile 2026 is now live and refreshing daily with news from our brand partners, insights on exhibitions, installations and talks throughout the city, making it easy for you to plan your Milan experience.
Milan Design Week 2026 unfolds from April 20 to 26. This year's theme is ‘Be the Project ’shaped around rethinking design in the world, exploring the role of people as active agents of change, and design as a constantly evolving process that shapes relationships between people, objects and environments. It continues a journey initiated with ‘Future Laboratory’ in 2023, ‘Matter Nature’ in 2024, and ‘Connected Worlds’ in 2025. This year will see the launch of Superstudio Design unfolding across three locations – Tortona, Barona and the new Superstudio Village in Bovisa, a revitalised industrial space near Parco La Gocciathat, each event exploring the connection between design, art and architecture. The 64th edition of Milan Design Week will also see the return of the International Bathroom Exhibition and EuroCucina 2026 at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, key events that highlight innovation, sustainability and the evolving role of the bathroom and kitchen in contemporary spaces. As well as the new and highly anticipated Salone Raritas, an exhibition dedicated to collectible design, limited editions and craftsmanship.
Joining 2,000 exhibitors from around the world, design schools and universities, installations, new products and a myriad of thought-provoking events, the cultural program will be highlighted by the return of the popular Alcova with two venues – a new area of the Baggio Military Hospital, and architect Franco Albini’s rationalist home in a residential area of Piazza Tripoli. Villa Pestarini is the only villa designed in Milan by Franco Albini, so it provides yet another hidden gem to explore while in Milan. Lebanese-born Paris-based architect, Lina Ghotmeh, will unveil designs for ‘Metamorphosis in Motion’, a playful labyrinth to be installed in the courtyard of Milan's Palazzo Litta, focused on history, materiality and integrating traditional techniques with contemporary design. While the fifth edition of the Prada Frames collaborative symposium curated by Formafantasma will take place from 19 to 21 April under the theme of ‘In Sight,’ staged inside the sacrestia of Santa Maria delle Grazie church, notably the home of Leonardo's 'Last Supper'.
